The Doctor knocks on the hut door. “I have no idea. Dalek community maybe?” The Doctor crouches down and puts his hand on Roses back for here to do the same. A Dalek comes out the door and goes back inside. “It looks like they evolved thinking they have feelings like humans. It’s impossible!” The Doctor puts on his 3-D glasses. “This whole planet has been through the void.”

Rose crouched down taking the 3D specs off his face moving them to her own. “What the hell. But this can’t be earth then can it Doctor!?” Rose gave him a worried expression. “If they’ve evolved. How’d they do it then?? I mean wouldn’t they need like..” She gulped, “humans to extract emotions or DNA or somethin’?”

“That’s exactly right! Brilliant you are!” The Doctor studies the ground and looks at it oddly. “Somebody transported this whole planet through the void. It takes great power to do that.”

Rose looked at him her eyes different colours behind the 3D specs. She did something the Doctor would do. Rose leaned in close to him picking the sand up rubbing it in her hands. The Doctor watched in interest to see what she was doing. Rose blew the extra sand particles from her hands. Then….oh sweet Gallifrey she did. She licked the palms of her hands. She could feel him watching her stunned. Her tongue was back inside her mouth and she made a smacking noise. “Oi don’ look at me like th’t! When in doubt, lick it. Salty and dusty like I could use some water righ’ bout now.”

She stood shaking the sand off her body. “Don’t you say a word!!! Alien boy! Lets be serious here, whatever is happening we need to fix it. But we need to know where to…

The Doctor laughs in response a little too long then he should. “When in doubt lick it? Really?” He smirks and tosses Rose a little bottle of water from his pocket. “I think… We should go inside.” He looks at Rose. “I’m doubting this plan will work. And I can’t lick it what should I do Rose?” He smirks and grabs Roses arm and stands up and creaks the door open about an inch. “Knock knock.” Then there are sounds of Daleks, maybe four, yelling ‘Exterminate!’

Rose gulped down the water tossing the bottle back at him. The Doctor always had all sorts of trinkets in his pockets, usually always what she needed at the right time. Rose always wondered if his pockets were sometimes bigger on the inside.

The door of the hut creaked open. Sounds of EX-TER-MIN-ATE erupted from within. Rose stumbled inside the doorway hands up in a surrender stance. “Wh’t sorta plan ya call this th’n Doc-tor?” Rose smirked a bit uneasily backing up into him. Hoping he’d dash in to save her.

The Doctor runs into the little hut, it is actually very small, orange all around and just empty rooms. “What happened to you Daleks? Evolved to family’s? Love? Doesn’t make sense!” The Dalek is quick in response. “We have com-ple-ted extermination!” He cries out loud. “Daleks wiped out the human race?!” The Doctor looks at Rose.

When the dalek said humans were exterminated Rose started to cry. She was weeping for humanity. “But no D-Doctor. Can’t be right what about all the humans colonising other planets? W-what about New Earth then?” Rose was angry and upset. She grabbed the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver pointing it at the dalek. “Who told ya to do this? I demand you tell me your orders or I will kill ya.”

The Doctor looks at Rose impressed but troubled. “Rose I think…. The humans came here, when the Daleks were already here. Some people didn’t make it into space after the disasters. The Daleks thought they were trespassers I suppose.” He puts a hand on the screwdriver gently and takes it away slowly. “But good job though.” He smiles and winks.
