Swanning about Time and Space: just swanning about…
Rose looked at the Doctor. Why was he asking her right now, right before they face a dalek fleet what she felt about him? She said she loved him twice in a matter of minutes. But did he hear her?
“Mankind… Extinct.” He looked down at Rose. “This must be where the Daleks are. One humans left, they came.” The Doctor kneels down and puts a lump of sand in his hand. “Not Radioactive.” He looked at Rose and he was trying to avoid any kind of subject about what he asked.
She sighed and walked out behind him knowing she would never get a straight answer out of him. It broke her heart a little bit not knowing, but at least she did know he’d do anything for her.Part of her wanted to put her hands on her hips and refuse to leave where she was until he did answer her.
Instead she stepped onto the orange sand behind him. “Why’s it all orange th’n? And the daleks…did they…” she stopped and gulped, “kill everyth’ng?” She looked at him worried hoping that the humans were gone before the daleks killed them all, and hoped someone anything survived.
“No, the sun got too close to orbit. Then it passed on the other side of the solar system, so it’s safe now, but we better be careful or the Daleks will find out we’re here.” He looked at Rose with a smirk. “Ready to rock and roll doll?” He runs in a straight direction where a hut made out of sand is built. He turns around. “Well come on then!”
